The Festival patron 2013 is talented singer Luisa Värk who has  participated in Tähtede Laul contest 4 times and  always  very successfully.

 

 

LauraThe Festival patron is our talented singer Laura Põldvere who won the Tähtede Laul Contest in 2004. As a patron, Laura offers young people an opportunity to meet and communicate directly with a professional singer by promoting all kind of opportunities through singing.

 

Laura is a young Estonian jazz and pop singer who won the international singing competition 'Tähtede Laul' in 2004. That was a turning point in her career. She has said that the competition gave her the strength to be herself and face the fears, because that is the force that makes you go forward. In 2005 she represented Estonia in the Eurovision Song Competition in Kiev, Ukraine. Soon after that she flew to Boston, United States to start her studies at the well-known Berklee College of Music. Her first album 'Muusa', which was released in 2007, was very popular and many of the songs reached the hit status.

After some years of educating herself in music and singing in 2009 the record company Moonwalk released her latest album 'Ultra'.  At the moment she is complementing her studies at the Estonian Academy of Music and performing widely around Estonia with many projects.
